You can put them side by side, the side flaps clip off fairly easily to allow this, but it looks like you would need to use some bulldog clips to hold them together and support the top cover at the centre. The lighting bar will help with this a bit. On the subject of the lights, talk about BRIGHT!!

The booth size is pretty generous on it's own, I wouldn't think I'll need to size up for a while, although I think 1:32 aircraft would be too big for it, the 1:24 cars & trucks and 1:72 aircraft I have in the stash will work great in there.

Depends on the 1/32 kit.
Normal single piston kits, will fit perfectly into it - you can always remove the side walls if you need to.

The hose is a pretty neat design, looks like standard Drier hose, the outlet end could either be just hung out of an open window, or the window vent attachment is the perfect size to wedge into the opening on my double glazed windows on the child catch. When you are done with the exhaust hose, you can collapse it back into a 2 foot long self supporting tube and stash it in a corner. The hose is a bit like the bendy bit on a plastic bendy straw, when compressed, it's solid, when stretched it's flexible, but stays in whatever angle/curve you put it

I like how this extractor has a flat exhaust part. Seems like a good idea to keep the window opening as shut as possible, if it is cold outside. Brrr.

Cold is still far better than inhaling the fumes, hum, sorry, the paint.

This one is pretty useful, I have the same looking thing for over a year now and even can spraying is not an issue anymore. Just remember to clean the filter on a regular basis.

Tried it out for the first time today. The lights are very good, but unfortunately make it difficult to see the vertical side facing outward, so it is difficult to determine the liquidity of the paint applied on vertical surfaces. No big deal for Matt finishes, but tricky for Gloss. Will need to add a strong light over my shoulder to cover this.

Otherwise, the extraction is superb. I note the filter doesn't catch all of the paint, as there was some residue on the fan outlet when I packed it up, but the hose didn't seem to have much in it, so hopefully there is nothing on the outside of the window frame.

Struggled a bit with getting the location of the paint stand right when painting the vertical surfaces, airline kept bumping into the front edge, stopping me getting the brush at 90º, but a swivel connector might take care of that.

It's a learning curve for sure, I'm far more used to spraying full size cars. Comparatively speaking, the size of an airbrush on a 1/24 model, against the size of a siphon gun on the real thing, is more like painting a car with a pressure washer.

Thanks for the review. I need a paint booth that stores compactly and does not let fumes into the house. (Wife complains). I no longer have Summer weather to paint outdoors or even in the garage.

One small learning curve, it will draw the contents of the air in the room over your finished piece if left on, also in cooler weather it moves a lot of cool air through. So I have learned to turn off the power once I have finished painting, it made a big difference to the finish on the laquer on my recent test pieces

I replaced the supplied hose with a much longer one of the same type purchased as an 'irrigation drainage' pipe at my local hardware store. It now reaches off the desk, across the room and out the door, fitting into the supplied connections the same way the original did. I use it for everything now (except Mr Surfacer as it tends to block the filter too quickly). Replacement filters are available from my LHS, too.
