Joseph Osborn
Hi, this is Joseph Osborn from Fireball Modelworks. Please note that this decal set is actually 1/48 scale, not 1/72. I do not produce this decal set in 1/72 scale because there is no 1/72 kit on the market that represents that particular version of the OH-58D. I have the decals in 1/48 for the Italeri kit and 1/35 for the Academy kit.

Thanks!

Hi Joseph, does not fit to either of these in 1/72?

No, Juan, this 1/72 Italeri kit depicts a very early OH-58D from the early 90's. My decals are for the later version that flew in the late 90's through the OEF and OIF campaigns.

And they are so different that the average modeller can't do the necessary modifications.... you suppose.. 😉 MBB BO 105M Swooper | Project by ice (1:72)
Anyway, I think we need a chat with The Cobra Company about this matter....

Juan, you linked to a Bo105 model... not sure what that has to do with a Kiowa Warrior, but whatever. If you show me an updated 1/72 Kiowa then I can produce a special set of decals for it.

I just want to say that no matter there is no a straight-of-the-box model, I we want a updated Kiowa we'll do it as Ice has done with the Bö 105. For us, most times the major drawback for a project is the lack of decals.
Even more, the lack of an accurate AH-1G model in 1/72 wasn't an obstacle for you to produce these nice sets, isn't it?

"Accurate" can be subjective, Juan. Both the Monogram and Airfix 1/72 AH-1G's are nice models that look very accurate to me.

Zimmermaniac, international shipping is just an awful mess now with the high cost of fuel and the lack of a surface mail option. But my shipping rate is a flat rate, so it helps to buy more stuff 😄

Airfix? No such one; maybe do you think in Matchbox? 🙂
Anyway, both kits lack a lot details of the machines depicted (tail rotor side, 'Sugar' scoop...)
